Judson C. "Jake" Ward 33C 36G

Dean of Alumni (1985 - 2009)

The Judson C. Ward Consecutive Giving Society exists to provide special acknowledgement to long-term donors and to bring distinction to those individuals who support Emory through consecutive annual giving. Ongoing annual support by consecutive donors strengthens our ability to create and sustain innovative academic programs, launch outreach initiatives that improve the community, provide educational opportunities for deserving students, and perform groundbreaking research.

The goal of the Judson C. Ward Consecutive Giving Society is to encourage consecutive years of participation in giving back to Emory, regardless of the monetary amount. Gifts at any level may be allocated anywhere there is an opportunity to give at Emory.

The Judson C. Ward Consecutive Giving Society was established in 2006-07 in honor of the late Dr. Judson C. "Jake" Ward 33C 36G. Emory's second Dean of Alumni and former Dean of Emory College, Dr. Ward enrolled at Emory in 1929 as a freshman and touched thousands of lives through his lifelong work, devotion, and love for Emory. In addition to serving Emory throughout his life, he was a lifelong donor with a record of more than 40 consecutive years of giving.

Donors will qualify for membership in the Judson C. Ward Consecutive Giving Society upon their second consecutive year of making a gift to Emory.  Membership is maintained as long as the donor makes at least one gift each fiscal year.  Members will receive a small token of appreciation upon each five year anniversary of their consecutive years of giving.
